Sodium Bicarbonate Injection, USP 8.4% — 50 mL Luer-Lock Prefilled Syringe

Sodium Bicarbonate Injection, USP 8.4% is a sterile, nonpyrogenic, hypertonic solution for intravenous administration as an electrolyte replenisher and systemic alkalizer. Each mL contains 84 mg sodium bicarbonate, equivalent to 1 mEq each of sodium and bicarbonate.

Supplied as one 50 mL single-dose Luer-Jet™ Luer-Lock prefilled syringe containing 50 mEq/50 mL (1 mEq/mL). NDC 76329-3352-01; label NDC 76329-3352-1. Manufactured by International Medication Systems, Limited, an Amphastar Pharmaceuticals company. No preservative is added; discard any unused portion.

Sodium Bicarbonate Injection, USP is indicated for correction of metabolic acidosis and other conditions requiring systemic alkalinization. It is administered by the intravenous route. Use only if the solution is clear and the container and seal are intact; do not use if the injection contains a precipitate.

Store at 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F), with excursions permitted to 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F). Protect from freezing. Refer to the current prescribing information for complete indications, dosing, contraindications, warnings, precautions, incompatibilities, and adverse reactions. Rx only.
