Midazolam Injection, USP is a sterile, nonpyrogenic solution of midazolam hydrochloride for intramuscular or intravenous administration. Midazolam is a short-acting benzodiazepine central nervous system depressant and a Schedule IV controlled substance.

Each mL contains midazolam 5 mg (as midazolam hydrochloride); each 10 mL multiple-dose vial contains 50 mg. The formulation contains benzyl alcohol 10 mg/mL, sodium chloride 8 mg/mL and edetate disodium 0.1 mg/mL.
