Meperidine Hydrochloride Injection, USP is a prescription opioid analgesic indicated for the management of pain severe enough to require an opioid analgesic when alternative treatments are inadequate, and for preoperative medication. Each clear, colorless 1 mL single-dose vial contains meperidine hydrochloride 25 mg (25 mg/mL) for intramuscular, subcutaneous, or slow intravenous administration. This selling unit is one carton containing 25 single-dose vials (NDC 0641-6052-25; individual vial NDC 0641-6052-01). Meperidine is a Schedule II controlled substance. Use only under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional and follow the full prescribing information, including boxed warnings concerning addiction, abuse, misuse, respiratory depression, accidental exposure, interactions with CNS depressants, and neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome.
