IPOL is a highly purified, enhanced-potency inactivated poliovirus vaccine containing poliovirus Type 1 (Mahoney), Type 2 (MEF-1), and Type 3 (Saukett) antigens. It is indicated for active immunization of infants beginning at 6 weeks of age, children, and adults against poliomyelitis according to the recommended vaccination schedule and full prescribing information. Each 0.5 mL dose contains 40 D-antigen units of Type 1, 8 D-antigen units of Type 2, and 32 D-antigen units of Type 3 poliovirus. This package contains one 5 mL multi-dose vial providing ten 0.5 mL doses, package NDC 49281-860-10. IPOL may be administered intramuscularly or subcutaneously as labeled.
