Hydromorphone Hydrochloride Injection, USP is a prescription opioid analgesic indicated for the management of pain severe enough to require an opioid analgesic when alternative treatments are inadequate. Each preservative-free 1 mL single-dose vial contains hydromorphone hydrochloride 2 mg (2 mg/mL) for subcutaneous, intramuscular, or slow intravenous administration. This selling unit is one carton containing 25 single-dose vials (NDC 0641-6151-25; individual vial NDC 0641-6151-01). Not for intrathecal or epidural use. Hydromorphone is a Schedule II controlled substance. Use only under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional and follow the full prescribing information, including boxed warnings concerning addiction, abuse, misuse, life-threatening respiratory depression, accidental exposure, interactions with CNS depressants, and neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome.
