Chlorhexidine Gluconate Oral Rinse, USP 0.12% is a prescription antimicrobial rinse indicated for use between dental visits as part of a professional program for the treatment of gingivitis characterized by redness and swelling of the gingivae, including gingival bleeding upon probing. This presentation is one 473 mL (16 fl oz) bottle, NDC 0116-2001-16. The usual labeled use is 15 mL undiluted, rinsed in the mouth for 30 seconds twice daily after toothbrushing. Expectorate after rinsing; do not swallow. Patients should not rinse with water or other mouthwashes, brush their teeth, or eat immediately after use. Use under dental or medical supervision and follow the full prescribing information. Store at controlled room temperature. Rx only.
