Bupivacaine Hydrochloride Injection, USP is an amide local anesthetic indicated in adults for production of local or regional anesthesia or analgesia for appropriate procedures. This 0.25% presentation contains 125 mg bupivacaine hydrochloride in each 50 mL multi-dose vial (2.5 mg/mL). The tray contains twenty-five multi-dose vials, NDC 00409-1160-01. Each mL contains 1 mg methylparaben as an antimicrobial preservative. This presentation is labeled for infiltration and nerve block and is not for caudal, epidural, or intrathecal anesthesia. Use only by qualified healthcare professionals with appropriate monitoring and resuscitative resources immediately available. Store at 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F), with permitted excursions to 15°C to 30°C. The solution should be clear and colorless; do not use if discolored or if a precipitate is present.
